The DHO is one of the oldest alpine skiing clubs in the world - founded in Wengen in the Jungfrau Region of the Swiss Bernese Oberland in 1925. The club has its winter base there, and whilst most of its members come from the United Kingdom, it caters for people who have joined from all over the world.
We provide a base in Wengen for our many members (more than 1600) with a representative and skiing guide in the village throughout the skiing season and provide information about the skiing conditions in the Jungfrau Region.
The club organises a wide variety of alpine activities in Wengen for holiday skiers of all ages, including, during school holidays, "Coggins", funfast skiing for members children from 7 to 13 years old. Many progress to DHO race training or to the Eagles. (Click the Coggins & Eagles tab for full information.)
Meet us in the DHO club room in the Eiger, come to one of our drinks parties or come for a guided day out as a visitor. Whilst helping Britain’s most talented young skiers, you will also be letting yourself in for a lot of fun and a lot of great skiing.
